Employee Orientation A Success
Posted On: May 2, 2009 Nearly 175 new and returning employees prepared for the 2009 season on Saturday, May 2. The orientation included a welcome by Dr. Louis Wilson, one the principals of the owners of Castaway Cove Park and the general manager, Fred Inter. Each employee then attended eight different sessions conducted by department managers.
The sessions included park safety, operations, administrations, retail, food services, and methods to provide exceptional customer service for the Guests that will be visiting Castaway Cove this year. This training was planned to provide an overview for the employees of each department and how those departments work in unison.
Employees were given advance notice that the orientation would begin promptly at 2:00 pm and the gate would be shutting promptly at that time. Any late employee would not be allowed admittance after the 2:00 pm first session. Every scheduled employee arrived before the gate closed. This was indicative of the high expectations for the employees and their willingness to exceed.
The park will open Saturday, May 16.
