How do I get directions to the park?2017-05-15T13:44:36-05:00

We are open on weekends in the spring, daily during the summer, and weekends during late summer / early fall. Hours of operation vary with time of season. Click on Hours/Calendar for a detailed list of operating days, hours of operation, and special events.

Are guests allowed to bring coolers, picnic baskets, or other food & beverage storage containers?2017-05-15T13:45:26-05:00

No coolers or outside food and beverage allowed inside the park. A covered designated picnic area is located just outside the main entrance and access in/out of the waterpark is easy.

Are there any styles of swimwear not allowed?2017-05-15T13:45:33-05:00

Appropriate swim attire is to be worn when a guest is at Castaway Cove Waterpark. Castaway Cove is a family Waterpark therefore g-strings, thongs, “speedos”, and swim attire made of see-through material when wet or dry are not allowed according to Park Policies.

Are outside floats allowed in the park?2017-05-15T13:45:39-05:00

Outside flotation devices (ex. tubes, rafts, etc.) are prohibited as they may cover water surfaces of attractions preventing lifeguards from seeing their area of responsibility. Appropriate ride vehicles for attractions & lifejackets will be provided free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rental tubes will also be available.

What if there is bad weather on the day of my visit?2017-05-15T13:45:50-05:00

For instances of inclement weather Castaway Cove will temporarily close the attractions and ask guests to take cover until such time as management deems it safe to re-open the attractions. It is the policy of Castaway Cove not to give a “rain check” in the event of inclement weather.

What if I or one of my party gets separated?2017-05-15T13:46:01-05:00

If you or a member of your party are separated just ask any member of the park staff for assistance. Separated parties will be escorted by park staff to the Group Sales office. In accordance with park policy we will take every effort to reunite park guests who are separated. It is always a great idea when visiting an entertainment facility to have a meeting place designated amongst your party in the case of separation.

Presently Castaway Cove accepts cash, personal and corporate checks, debit cards, and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa and Discover).

Lockers are available for rent at electronic kiosks at the front gate and at the lockers inside the park.

Lifejackets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. They are located in metal bins by the palm trees at the corners of Shipwreck Beach.

Due to city ordinances, there is no smoking within 20 feet of the outside of the park. We do have a bench out side of the park for smokers.

We have numerous shaded picnic areas located throughout the park on a first-come, first-serve basis. Click on Park Map for details. However, for your safety and health as with any outdoor activity we strongly advise the use of sunscreen rated SPF 15 or higher with ingredients that block UVA and UVB rays. Sunscreen is best applied liberally and 30 minutes prior to sun exposure. It is also advised to reapply sunscreen many times throughout the day during your visit to the park.

What about my prescription glasses or sunglasses?2021-05-11T13:29:47-05:00

We recommend that you bring a strap to help secure your glasses during park use. However, despite the use of such devices there is still a chance that your glasses may be dislodged during use of the Rides/Attractions. Castaway Cove will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of eyewear.

Restroom, shower and changing facilities are provided inside the park located on the Northeast side of the Entrance Complex. Click on Park Map for details.

How can we keep our keys from getting lost?2023-04-27T15:12:05-05:00

Lockers are available for rent at electronic kiosks at the front gate and at the lockers inside the park. Castaway Cove Waterpark is not responsible for any lost or damaged keys and/or remote devices. Click on Park Map for details.

Other than carrying loose money and change inside your pockets, you may choose to purchase a gift card at the front office. We also accept credit cards at all register locations.

Where do we go to inquire about a lost item?2017-05-15T13:47:04-05:00

Any lost items found in the park by employees will be taken at the earliest convenience to the Group Sales office located on the Southwest portion of the Entrance Complex.

Castaway Cove employs a staff of highly trained lifeguards, Supervisors, and EMT’s to assist with any medical issues. Our First Aid facility is located to the right of the lockers.

In a continued effort to ensure guest safety it is park policy that all guests age 10 and under are to be accompanied by a guardian age 13 or older who is to be present on park grounds at all times during their visit.

How can I get to the waterpark if I don’t have a car or I live on SAFB?2023-04-27T15:12:05-05:00

Other than personal transportation, there are a few ways to arrive at the waterpark for an enjoyable day of water fun. We are an established stop with the Wichita Falls Transit System on the MESA route. You can also call one of many local cab companies and have them drop you off at Castaway Cove Waterpark, 1000 Central Freeway East.
